Inclusive Design

Short Definition
A design approach that seeks to create products, services, and environments that are accessible and usable by the widest possible range of people, including those with disabilities, different cultural backgrounds, or varying needs.
Relevance
Inclusive design ensures that products and systems are created with diverse users in mind from the start. However, when framed solely as a checklist for accessibility, it can fall short of addressing deeper systemic inequalities. True inclusive design goes beyond accessibility, pushing for transformative changes that center care and intersectional equity.
