dropdown

Short Definition
A user interface element that displays a list of options when clicked, allowing the user to choose one from the list. Dropdown menus are often used to simplify navigation or input selection in forms.
Relevance
Dropdown menus reveal a list of options when clicked. For accessibility, dropdowns must be easy to open and navigate via keyboard or screen readers. Knowing how dropdowns function allows you to help others—especially those unfamiliar with a screen setup—find hidden options or navigate complex forms in a user-friendly way.
