Afrofuturism

Short Definition
A cultural movement that approaches African culture, history, and technology with futuristic themes in art, literature, and film.
Relevance
Afrofuturism envisions futures shaped by Black experiences, and is often used to imagine technology for liberation rather than oppression. The challenge is how to integrate Afrofuturist principles into mainstream tech development without diluting its radical reimagining of social justice and technological futures.
