O ke kahua ma mua, ma hope o ke kūkulu: What is Indigenous Data Sovereignty? featuring Dr. Stephanie Russo Carroll (Assistant Professor of Public Health, the University of Arizona; Associate Director for the Native Nations Institute; Assistant Research Professor at the Udall Center) and Māui Hudson(Associate Professor and Director of Te Kotahi Research Institute at the University of Waikato; Co-Director of Local Contexts, the Veracity Lab, and ENRICH). This is the first of a four part seminar series co-hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant Ulana ʻIke Center of Excellence and the Biocultural Initiative of the Pacific focused on Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Knowledge Stewardship.

This is a 2023–2025 project led by InterAccess, in collaboration with Tangled Art + Disability, and FEZIHAUS™.
