About
M Eilo is an artist and founder of BlinkPopShift, a Bay Area nonprofit that uses art and technology to demonstrate disability as a site of innovation. Working across physical and virtual materials, they create prosthetics, archives, models, and portraits that experiment with disabled lived experience. Eilo is best known for their computational prosthetics, including Prosthetic Memory, a homemade AI designed to offset long-term memory loss; the Masking Machine Prosthetic, a wearable computer that simulates eye contact in social interactions; and Invisible Sculpture, an augmented reality and performance work that presents a monumental-scale artwork to museum visitors—uninvited.
