Jason Edward Lewis

Jason Edward Lewis is a Hawaiian and Samoan digital media theorist, poet, and software designer based in Montreal. He is University Research Chair in Computational Media and the Indigenous Future Imaginary and Professor of Computation Arts at Concordia University. Founder of Obx Labs, Lewis leads research-creation projects that treat computation as a cultural and creative material, developing new forms of critical and expressive media. He co-directs the Indigenous Futures Research Centre, the Abundant Intelligences project, Aboriginal Territories in Cyberspace (AbTeC), and the Indigenous Protocol and Artificial Intelligence Working Group.
