About
Asubpeeschoseewagong (Grassy Narrows First Nation) is an Anishinaabe community north of Kenora, Ontario, whose 2,500-square-mile territory has sustained them for millennia. Despite ongoing harms from residential schools, relocation, mercury poisoning, logging, and mining, the community continues to resist, reclaim land, and revitalize culture in the fight for sovereignty and self-determination.
