Bronwyn Carlson

About
Bronwyn Carlson is Head of the Department of Critical Indigenous Studies and a leading scholar of Indigenous digital life. She has received three consecutive Australian Research Council grants on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagements with digital technologies, authoring foundational publications including the first scholarly article and the only book dedicated to this field. Carlson has co-edited special issues on Indigenous social media activism and innovation, and the volume Indigenous People Rise Up: The Global Ascendancy of Social Media Activism. She is founding editor of the Journal of Global Indigeneity, Director of Global Indigenous Futures, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.
