Recognizing the shortage of multi-level and self-sustaining educational programming in the media arts sector, “RHIZOMATIC PEDAGOGIES” is a project that promotes educational capacity-building for new media practice in Black, Indigenous, & Disability Arts communities. This pilot program combines training for educational leaders from these communities with artistic public programming foregrounding their leadership and innovation in new media. By investing in educational leadership and capacity within these communities, this program will catalyze much-needed intersectional cross-pollination across Canada’s media arts sector.
